HTIC held the first meeting of its new Polynesian Club on April 19th from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Twenty-three male and female HTIC students participated. The club, under the direction of local hula instructor Tammy Silva, focuses on learning the dances, language and culture of Hawai’i, but will also incorporate elements from many other Polynesian islands.

Members of the club will be encouraged to attend local hula performances to broaden their awareness of Hawaiian and Polynesian culture.

The club is free to all HTIC students, meets Monday nights from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m., and requires no experience or special attire to join.
