The university football team known as the "Tritons" from Tokai University’s Shonan campus in Kanagawa, Japan, visited Hawaii Tokai from March 8-14, 2010. The camp was hosted by HTIC, the Pacific Island Athletic Alliance (PIAA), and UH Manoa.

The Tritons spent mornings practicing football rudiments and combined training at UH Manoa with local coaches. They then spent afternoons visiting local attractions and learning the haka.

The team’s cheerleading squad also trained at UH Manoa and learned hula at HTIC. The group garnered attention from the local press and were featured in an article in the "Honolulu Advertiser."
